Valmont Unit Price Guard — Privacy

Data used

We read shop identity and product variants, including IDs, names, status, product tags, native unit pricing visibility and measurements. We retain product and variant IDs and names, status, the presence of the unit-price-required tag, unit pricing measurements, baselines and findings. Other product tags are processed temporarily and not retained. Shopify sessions and access tokens are stored to authenticate the app.

We do not request customer or order access, change products, add storefront scripts or sell data. Shopify may provide store-owner contact information during installation; our monitoring queries do not request it.

Hosting and retention

The deployment target is Railway with PostgreSQL. Shopify provides authentication and native app billing. Scan and audit history is retained for 30 days. Current baseline and incident history remain while installed. Uninstall deletes active app records and sessions; hosting backups follow the hosting provider’s retention policies.
